Makenzie Clement, a Senior Consultant with HR Metrics Coach, is an accomplished HR professional with experience both in consulting and Corporate HR.
As a consultant with Mercer, Makenzie spent her time helping companies review the competitiveness of their compensation programs. She specialized in conducting analyses of compensation programs to assess things such as internal and external pay competitiveness, pay compression, merit increase modeling, and the impact of using various performance measures in incentive plan design. She also worked with clients to create job documentation, conduct custom surveys and design base pay, annual and long term incentive plans. After leaving Mercer, Makenzie joined The Home Depot in their wholesale distribution business, Home Depot (HD) Supply, during a period of rapid growth where, through numerous acquisitions, the size of the division more than doubled. During that time, she was involved in consolidating the jobs and compensation information of the newly acquired companies into one cohesive compensation program. She was also responsible for creating and implementing a new base pay program, including career leveling, a broadband salary structure and salary administration guidelines. When the division was sold to private equity firms, she was involved in the transition of all executive, equity and broad-based compensation data and programs from The Home Depot. Makenzie also has experience working in International HR for a large, multi-national company.
Makenzie holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Kalamazoo College and resides in Atlanta, along with her husband, their three boys, dog and two cats.
